Postpartum Doula Care
I offer doula care to families during the important transition to life with a baby (or babies!). What I do varies from day to day as the needs of your family change. I do whatever the new mother needs to be successful in her new role. I take direction from the new mom and help to nurture the family. Unlike a baby nurse, my focus is not solely on the baby, but rather on encouraging independence for the whole family. My goal is to nurture parents into their new roles in a calm and supportive manner. I accomplish this through praise, positive reinforcement, acceptance, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Rates and Hours
I usually work in 4 hours segments of time. You may choose to hire me for anywhere from 1-2 visits, up to your baby's 4 month birthday. I give my clients undivided attention by working with only one family at a time. Please contact me with questions about pricing and availability.
